About

Hi! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I’m an embedded engineer. My daily stack is C, C++ and Rust, and my favorite environment to live in is a Linux terminal.

When it comes to software development, I value architectural cleanliness most of all (HAL, OSAL, BSP) and clear memory handling. I’m equally interested in bringing up a peripheral or setting up a display on an ESP32-S3, and in explaining to my colleagues the difference between structured encapsulation in C, classes in C++, or types in Rust. What I do and what this blog is about:

  • ๐Ÿ›  Embedded Dev: From Bare Metal and FreeRTOS to Modbus, graphics libraries, and debugging tricky bugs.

  • ๐ŸŽ“ Learning & Mentoring: I help developers step into the low-level embedded world and make sense of microcontrollers.

  • ๐Ÿง Linux & Open Source: I work in Linux, experiment with containers, self-hosting, and automation tools.

  • โšก๏ธ System “HardFaults”: There’s a bit of humor in the blog name, because in the world of Cortex-M a panic is just another reason to figure out where the memory “leaked”.

My free time away from code usually goes to all kinds of music: from jazz to hardcore, the Meshtastic airwaves, hiking with a backpack, or exploring the city on an EUC.

If you have interesting ideas to discuss or questions about low-level development โ€” reach out via the links on the left!
